Sylvia Miles (September 9, 1924 – June 12, 2019) was an American actress known for her two Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress, one for 'Midnight Cowboy' (1969) and another for 'Farewell, My Lovely' (1975). She is also notable for starring in the horror film 'Sentinel' (1977), where she played a fashion model experiencing strange physical problems and haunted by her past.
