Penelope Wilton, DBE (born 3 June 1946), is an English actress known for her extensive theater and television work. She starred opposite Richard Briers in 'Ever Decreasing Circles' (1984-1989) and played Homily in 'The Borrowers' (1992) and its sequel. Wilton won the Olivier Award for Best Actress for 'Taken at Midnight' (2015). Her notable film appearances include 'Clockwise' (1986), 'Calendar Girls' (2003), and 'Downton Abbey' (2010-2015) on television. She was married to actor Sir Ian Holm but retained the style of 'Lady Holm' post-divorce.
