Summary
Directed by Alberto Sordi and released in 1980, 'Io e Caterina' is a unique blend of comedy, sci-fi, and social commentary. The story explores the theme of male chauvinism through Enrico Melotti's character, who finds himself dominated by three women he exploits emotionally and sexually before purchasing an advanced robotic maid, Caterina, to serve him without complaint. However, Caterina's autonomy and eventual rebellion challenge Enrico's beliefs and lead him to realize the consequences of his actions.
