Yuliya Aug, born Yuliya Arturovna Aug on June 8, 1970 in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), Soviet Union, spent her childhood in Narva, Estonia. Her paternal grandfather was Estonian. She graduated from the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts in 1993 and worked at the Youth Theater named after A. A. Bryantsev for ten years, playing main roles in productions like 'Woe from Wit' and 'Macbeth'. In 2010, she graduated with honors from the directing department of the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts in Moscow. Aug is known for her roles in films such as 'The Student', 'Ekaterina', and 'Leto', and is part of the Gogol Center troupe.
