Veronica Cartwright, born April 20, 1949 in London, England, is an accomplished British-born American actress known for her roles in science fiction and horror films. She began her career as a child actress with notable appearances in 'The Children's Hour' and 'The Birds'. In the late 1970s, she transitioned to mature roles, earning critical acclaim for her performance in 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers'. Her portrayal of Lambert in 'Alien' (1979) garnered her a Saturn Award. Throughout her career, Cartwright has received three Primetime Emmy Award nominations, including one for her role on ER and two for The X-Files. She is also known as the older sister of actress Angela Cartwright.
