Full Biography
Vaitiare Bandera, born Vaitiare Eugenie Hirshon in Tahiti, French Polynesia, started her career as a model after graduating high school at age 16. She declined a leading role in 'The Bounty' to study acting with Larry Moss in Los Angeles. Bandera hosted a documentary series and appeared in various TV ads, including Miller Beer from 1993-1995. Her notable roles include 'Sha're' in the pilot episode of Stargate SG-1, where she met Michael Shanks, with whom she has a daughter, Tatiana (born 1998). Bandera is currently married to Edgars Asars and resides in Los Angeles with her family.
