Full Biography
Susannah York (9 January 1939 – 15 January 2011) was a British actress known for her roles in film, stage, and television. She won a BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress for 'They Shoot Horses, Don't They?' (1969) and was nominated for an Oscar and Golden Globe for the same film. She also won Best Actress at Cannes for 'Images' (1972). In 1991, she was awarded the rank of Officier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
