Susan Tyrrell, born Susan Jillian Creamer on March 18, 1945, was an American character actress known for her talent in portraying downtrodden and outré characters. She began her career in New York City theater before making her film debut in 'Shoot Out' (1971). Tyrrell received critical acclaim for her roles; she was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for 'Fat City' (1972) and won the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress for 'Bad' (1977).
