Rosie Perez, born Rosa María Perez on September 6, 1964, is an American actress known for her breakthrough role as Tina in Spike Lee's 'Do the Right Thing' (1989). She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in 'Fearless' (1993). Apart from acting, Perez has also worked as a choreographer, notably on 'In Living Color' (1990–1994), and co-hosted 'The View' during its 18th season.
