Portia de Rossi
Full Biography
Australian-American actress Portia de Rossi was born Amanda Lee Rogers on January 31, 1973, in Horsham, Victoria, Australia. She began modeling and acting as a child before moving to Los Angeles in 1995. Her breakthrough role came in 1998 when she was cast as Nelle Porter in the television series Ally McBeal, for which she won a Screen Actors Guild Award. She is also known for her roles in Arrested Development (2003–2006, 2013, 2018–2019) and Scandal (2014–2017). Additionally, de Rossi is a philanthropist supporting various organizations, including the Human Rights Campaign. She has been married to Ellen DeGeneres since 2008.
