Polly Alexandra Walker, born on May 19, 1966 in Warrington, England, began her career as a dancer but switched to acting after an injury at age 18. She trained at London's Drama Centre and joined the Royal Shakespeare Company before landing roles in television and film, including the title role in 'Lorna Doone' (1990) and a notable performance in 'Patriot Games' (1992).
