Nina Dobrev, born Nikolina Konstantinova Dobreva on January 9, 1989 in Sofia, Bulgaria, but raised in Toronto, Canada, is a Canadian actress best known for her roles as Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce in The CW's supernatural drama series 'The Vampire Diaries'. She made her screen debut playing minor roles in various films before gaining prominence with her role in the teen drama series 'Degrassi: The Next Generation' as Mia Jones. Post 'Vampire Diaries', she has appeared in several films including 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower', 'Let's Be Cops', 'Flatliners', and 'XXX: Return of Xander Cage'.
