Niamh Cusack, born on October 20, 1959, is an Irish actress with a rich theatrical background. She began her career in the mid-1980s and has since been part of numerous stage productions and TV shows. Notable roles include Dr. Kate Rowan in Heartbeat (1992–1995) and a starring role in In Love with Alma Cogan (2011). Cusack is a member of the renowned acting family, being the daughter of Cyril Cusack and sister to Sinéad Cusack and Sorcha Cusack. She has one son with her husband, actor Finbar Lynch.
