Her mother, Vera Setta, is a Brazilian stage and TV actress, while her father, Fernando Baccarin, is an Italian journalist. Baccarin attended prestigious performing arts schools and graduated from Juilliard's theater program. She made her film debut in 'Perfume' (2001).
