Megalyn Echikunwoke, born May 28, 1983 in Spokane, Washington, has a unique biracial heritage: her father is Nigerian and her mother is Caucasian. Her last name, Echikunwoke, translates to 'leader of men,' and she is a granddaughter of an Igbo tribal leader, making her African royalty.
