Mayuko Iwasa, born in Tokyo and formerly with Platinum Productions, began her entertainment career at age 16 after being scouted in Shibuya. She won 'Miss Magazine 2003' and became a popular gravure model before transitioning to acting. Notable roles include 'Deep Love' (2004) and 'Galcir'. In 2014, she received the Emerging Actress award at the Japanese Professional Movie Awards for her performance in 'Passion (Junan)'. She retired from entertainment on October 1, 2020, with plans to work as a long-term care worker post-retirement.
