Mayu Ozawa, born on May 16, 1983, in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, began her acting career at a young age. She rose to prominence playing Yoko in the 2001 film 'Shôjo', directed by Akihiko Shiota. In the movie, Ozawa's character is a 15-year-old enjo kosai who forms a relationship with Tomokawa, a bored cop played by Tadanobu Asano.
