"Max Couper's acting debut and career demise both occurred within the span of a single film, Joe (1970), which stirred significant controversy. Despite propelling the careers of esteemed actors like Peter Boyle ("Everybody Loves Raymond") and Susan Sarandon ("Hot As Hell Even at 50"), the movie didn't offer much benefit to the numerous nude hippie extras, including Max herself. However, she did secure a brief moment in the spotlight during a racy "Hippy Orgy" scene where she exposed her buttocks and breasts. While such scenes might not have been entirely pointless for Couper's career, they do contribute to the film's notoriety alongside Sarandon's early revealing role.
