Mathilde Seigner, born January 17, 1968 in Paris, France, is a French actress. She is part of the distinguished Seigner acting family, being the granddaughter of Louis Seigner and sister of Emmanuelle Seigner. Seigner has appeared predominantly in French films, earning notable recognitions such as the prix Michel Simon (1995) for 'Rosine' and Prix Romy Schneider (1999). She also won Best Actress at Montreal World Film Festival in 2001 for her role in 'Betty Fisher and Other Stories'. Seigner has been in a long-term relationship with Mathieu Petit since 2006, and they have a son named Louis born in 2007.
