Mädchen Amick, born December 12, 1970 in Sparks, Nevada, rose to fame as an American actress in the early 1990s. Her name 'Mädchen', meaning 'girl' in German, became known globally when she played Shelly Johnson in David Lynch's cult series 'Twin Peaks' (1990-1991 and its revival in 2017).
