Full Biography
Kristin Bauer van Straten was born and raised in Wisconsin, where she enjoyed sports, horse riding, and shooting guns. Her father was an avid horseman and gun collector, while her mother was a housewife involved in charities. After studying fine arts in St. Louis, Boston, and New York, Kristin moved to Los Angeles in 1994 to pursue acting. She continues to study drawing and painting, creating commissioned portraits when she's not acting or working on environmental causes. Kristin lives in L.A. with her rescued animals and husband Abri van Straten, a musician from South Africa.
