Katharina Schüttler, born October 20, 1979 in Cologne, Germany, is an accomplished German actress with a career spanning film, television, and theater. She debuted on screen with 'Die Lok' in 1992 and gained international recognition for her roles in 'The Promise' (2011) as Clara Rosenbaum and in the TV drama 'Generation War' (2013) as Greta Müller. Schüttler is known for portraying characters faced with existential dilemmas. She studied acting at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media from 1999 to 2003, after which she played the title role in a German premiere of 'Lolita'. In 2006, she was critically acclaimed by Theater Today.
