Full Biography
Kate Capshaw was born Kathleen Sue Spielberg on November 3, 1953, in Texas. Initially pursuing education, she earned a Master's degree in Learning Disabilities and taught special education before moving to New York for acting. After landing her breakthrough role as Willie Scott in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), directed by Steven Spielberg whom she later married in 1991, Capshaw's career flourished with notable roles in films like Dreamscape, Black Rain, Love Affair, Just Cause, SpaceCamp, and The Love Letter. She is also known for her role in the mini-series 'A Girl Thing'. Capshaw is a mother to seven children including actress Jessica Capshaw, and has been actively involved in humanitarian causes.
