Joy Smithers, born July 15, 1963, is an Australian actress known for her television roles. She has appeared in 'All The Way', 'Bangkok Hilton', 'The Flying Doctors', 'Home and Away', 'Lorca and the Outlaws', 'Wildside', and 'All Saints'. Smithers briefly co-hosted 'Good Morning Australia' and returned to acting as Bridget Simmons in 'Home and Away' in 2008. She appeared in films like 'Newcastle' (2008) and 'Mad Max: Fury Road' (2015). Interestingly, at age 15, Smithers was offered the role of Max Rockatansky's wife in the original 'Mad Max', but her parents did not allow her to travel for production.
