That same year, she appeared as an American groupie in Pink Floyd's 'Pink Floyd The Wall'. Throughout the 1980s, Wright had notable roles including Eileen in 'The Wild Life', Felicia in 'St. Elmo's Fire', Mae in 'Near Dark', and lead roles in 'I, Madman' (1989). She also made appearances in 'Young Guns II' and 'The Lawnmower Man'.
