Jennifer Podemski, born and raised in Toronto, Canada, is an award-winning Film and Television Producer and Actor of mixed First Nations and Israeli descent. She began her acting career as a teen, gaining prominence with roles like Pique in CBC's The Diviners and starring in Bruce McDonald's Dance Me Outside. Recognizing the lack of diversity behind the camera, she co-founded Big Soul Productions at 25, Canada's first Aboriginal owned and operated full-service production company. Podemski has produced numerous TV shows including Moccasin Flats, The Other Side, and has acted in films such as Degrassi, Republic of Doyle, Take This Waltz, and Jimmy P. Her film Empire of Dirt premiered at TIFF 2014 and earned her two Canadian Screen Awards nominations. She is also known for her role in Blackstone and HBO's Sensitive Skin.
