Hannah Townsend, born to Irish-American father Dan and mixed-race mother Patricia, was raised on the border of Mexico with an eclectic upbringing influenced by radical hippie culture, Motown, Classic Rock music, and renowned films like those directed by Stanley Kubrick. Singing since age 7 and acting in local productions, she honed her skills at San Diego MCTC, studying under Eric Morris, Larry Moss, Upright Citizens Brigade Improv Comedy, AFI SAG-Aftra Conservatory, and Studio 4 LA Filmmaking Masterclass taught by James Franco. Townsend plays Elise on HBO's 'The Deuce' and is based in New York City.
