Ellen Helinder was born and raised in Karlstad, Sweden. She began her acting career at age 10 with a stage debut at Värmlandsteatern in her hometown. After moving to Stockholm in her early 20s, she studied acting techniques like Chubbuck and Meisner. Helinder has appeared in popular Swedish series such as 'Gåsmamman' (2016) and 'Sommaren med släkten' (2020). Her breakout role came in the hit series 'Exit' (2018), where she played Magdalena, a role that expanded significantly in season 3 due to her acclaimed performance. Helinder won 'Best Actress' for her role in the comedy drama 'Homecoming' (2019) and received a nomination for 'Best Swedish Female Actor'. She also debuted as a filmmaker with the documentary 'Little Big Brother' in 2020, which gained international recognition.
