Désirée Nosbusch, born January 14, 1965 in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg to one Luxembourgish and one Italian parent, is a multilingual television presenter and actress. She speaks Luxembourgish, German, French, Italian, and English. Nosbusch's acting career began in her mid-teens with both French-language and German-language films and TV productions. Notably, she was a member of the youth drama group at Lycée Hubert Clément in Esch-sur-Alzette. In 1984, she presented the Eurovision Song Contest in Luxembourg and recorded a duet with Austrian singer Falco, 'Kann es Liebe sein?'. She lived in Manhattan, New York City in the 1980s and Los Angeles from the 1990s to 2008.
