Full Biography
Amina Annabi was born into a musical family, with her father Tunisian and mother French. She spent her early years around music stars like Joan Baez and Warda at the Tabarka Festival in Tunisia. After moving to Paris in 1975 with her mother, she formed a group in 1978 before starting her solo career in 1982. In 1983, she won a music contest with 'Shehérazade', a rap song influenced by Arab rhythms. She began performing in Paris around this time.
