Full Biography

Alessandra Martines, born on 19 September 1963, is an Italian French dancer and actress who began her career as a ballet dancer at opera stages around Europe and the United States before becoming a lead television actress in Italy. She is notably known for portraying Princess Fantaghirò across five films from 1991 to 1996. Martines has worked extensively with French director Claude Lelouch, including in 'Les Misérables' and 'And now... Ladies and Gentlemen'. She has received numerous awards, such as the Telegatto for Best Actress for 'The Cave of the Golden Rose', Grolla d'oro for 'Edda', Silver Hugo at Chicago International Film Festival for 'Chance or Coincidence', Diamanti al Cinema Award in Cannes, European Golden Globe, and Kineo Award at Venice International Film Festival. Born into a family that moved to France when she was five years old, Martines is the second cousin of Carla Bruni and Valeria Bruni Tedeschi.
