Franziska Rummel is a German actress and soprano singer who gained international recognition for her breakout performance in the independent sci-fi drama "Dr. Ketel – Der Schatten von Neukölln" (2011). Born in 1983 in Oldenburg, Germany, she spent her early years in her hometown before relocating to Berlin at the age of 18 to complete her secondary education and pursue higher studies.
While initially enrolling in law, Rummel simultaneously followed her passion for the performing arts by training at the Paul Hindemith Music School in Neukölln. Her classical vocal training led her to various stage productions, including a notable performance in the opera "Glück" at the Klangwerkstatt Berlin in 2006. Her transition to film was marked by her leading role as Karo in Linus de Paoli's Dr. Ketel, where she shared the screen with American actress Amanda Plummer. Story
In the near future, Berlin's Neukölln district has collapsed due to a breakdown of the public health system.
