Andra Day (born Cassandra Monique Batie on December 30, 1984) is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter and actress known for her powerful vocals and captivating performances. She gained recognition with her debut album 'Cheers to the Fall' in 2015, earning Grammy nominations for both the album and its single 'Rise Up'.
