Dina Shihabi, born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and raised in Dubai, began dance lessons at age six with renowned teacher Sharmilla Kamte. She attended Al Mawakeb School, Emirates International School, and Dubai American Academy where she performed in school plays and was encouraged to pursue acting by her teacher Nancy Mock. At 18, with her father's permission, she moved to New York City to study acting professionally. After attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, she was accepted into both Juilliard and NYU's Graduate Acting program, becoming the first Middle Eastern woman to achieve this feat.
