Story

Professor Marston and the Wonder Women (2017) follows Dr. William Moulton Marston, a Harvard psychologist who invents the modern lie detector test. The film explores his unconventional life, particularly his relationship with his wife Elizabeth and Olive Byrne, his former student. This polyamorous relationship significantly influences Marston's creation of Wonder Woman in 1941, with Elizabeth and Olive's feminist ideals shaping the character. The story delves into how Marston navigates the controversy surrounding Wonder Woman's creation.

Summary

Directed by Angela Robinson, Professor Marston and the Wonder Women is a biographical drama that uncovers the true story behind the creation of Wonder Woman. Set in the early 20th century, the film explores themes of feminism, freedom of expression, and unconventional relationships. While details about Marston's death in 1947 and Elizabeth and Olive raising their children together are mentioned, they are not explicitly part of the film's storyline as per available sources.
