Full Biography

Hannah Hoekstra stars as Hemel in the 2012 Dutch film 'Hemel'. Hemel, her character, explores the distinction between sex and love during her nightly encounters with different men, sometimes leading while other times following their initiatives. Her father, Gijs, who works at an auction house, is the most important person in her life. After her mother's early passing, Hemel grew up solely under her father's care. Similar to Hemel, Gijs is also restless and uncommitted, but this changes when he falls in love with a young auctioneer named Sophie.
