Liana Mendoza was born on November 19th in Los Angeles, California. She began dancing at age three and trained with a ballet company from age ten. By twelve, she was one of fifteen students invited to attend Hamilton High School Academy of Music and Performing Arts. At eighteen, she played the lead role of Princess Jasmine in an on-stage play in Anaheim, California. Mendoza attended Pace University for acting but also had aspirations to write, produce, and direct, leading her to NYU Tisch School of the Arts on scholarship. She has appeared in various TV shows like Bones, Scandal, Better Call Saul, American Horror Story, Ray Donovan, Baskets, Unsolved, Disney's Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, and Social Disturbance, where she played an obsessed psychopath and also executive produced and produced the film. Mendoza was named one of the top five successful Spanish-speaking women by Cosmopolitan Magazine alongside Penélope Cruz and Paz Vega. She was honored as a Trailblazer Performer by SAG-AFTRA and received congressional recognition for her contributions to society.
