Tiresia, a Brazilian transsexual living in Paris with her brother, catches the eye of Terranova, an admirer who becomes obsessed with her. In his infatuation, he kidnaps Tiresia and takes her to the countryside. Without her regular dose of hormones, Tiresia begins to physically revert back to male. Displeased with this change, Terranova blinds Tiresia and abandons her in the woods. However, she is rescued by a family named Anna who nurses her back to health. During this time, Tiresia gains the ability to see the future.
