On June 5, 1944, in the early hours before D-Day, two New Zealand commandos, Captain Ben Grogan and Sergeant Joseph Tane, are sent to destroy German gun emplacements on a Channel Island to distract Hitler's forces from Normandy. Upon arrival, they discover that the installation appears unguarded but hear screams emanating from inside. Grogan decides to investigate despite Joseph's reluctance. They're separated during the exploration, with Joseph being murdered off-screen. Grogan encounters Colonel Klaus Meyer who captures him after revealing his research into black magic and occultism, intending to create an ultimate weapon for Nazi Germany. Grogan learns that Meyer has unleashed a demon in Helena's form, his deceased wife, who died in a bombing raid. Grogan is forced to ally with Meyer to survive against the demon using Helena's appearance to seduce him.
The Devil's Rock is a New Zealand horror-thriller set on the eve of D-Day during World War II. The story follows two Kiwi commandos tasked with destroying German military facilities in the Channel Islands to draw attention away from the Normandy invasion. Upon landing, they uncover an unprotected installation where they hear cries for help, leading them to investigate and ultimately discover a Nazi occult plot involving black magic and demonic forces.
