Story
Set in Joshua Tree, California, 'Serpentine Pink' follows a reclusive biker woman and her John Wayne-obsessed exotic dancer lover who survive a violent acid attack. As they struggle to heal from their trauma, they encounter an ethereal psychic and an aspiring healer who help them confront and overcome their deep-rooted pain and the cycle of possessive love.
Summary
'Serpentine Pink' is a distinctively visceral and surreal independent film that blends neo-noir thriller elements with comedic and dramatic undertones. Directed by Vivian Sorenson, this female-centric film explores themes of trauma, healing, and the supernatural while being heavily inspired by France's Grand Guignol style of horror theatre. The story unfolds against the backdrop of the Mojave desert, creating a strange poetry that permeates both its visuals and dialogue.
