Story

Max Simkin, a disillusioned cobbler in New York City's Lower East Side, runs his family's shoe repair shop. He discovers an old heirloom shoe that magically allows him to step into the lives of his customers when he tries their shoes on. Through this ability, Max learns about their problems and experiences their lives firsthand, gaining empathy and self-awareness.
